Harvest Gold Corporation Appoints Cheryl Messier as CFO

Harvest Gold Corporation (HVG –
TSX.V) December 4, 2008 (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment
of Cheryl Messier as the new Chief Financial Officer of Harvest Gold
Corporation.
Cheryl is joining Harvest after
working the last fifteen years in finance related jobs. Cheryl has completed her
4th level CGA program and her primary responsibility will be
maintaining and strengthening internal controls and overseeing financial
reporting for the Company.
In the last five years she has
acted as CFO or Controller for several junior exploration and mining companies
within the Gold Group which included Radius Gold Inc., Northland Resources Inc.,
Ucore Uranium Inc., Mena Resources Inc. and Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. During
this time she has been involved with mergers, acquisitions, consolidated system
implementations, investment and audit committees and she has had a leadership
role in maintaining and strengthening internal controls. She also has strong
cash management skills, having gained extensive experience working in the
offshore sector.

us six months ago and has acted as our Controller during that period. She has
shown the Board that she has the skills and experience to guide us as we become
a bigger and more complex organization. Her strong hand will provide the Board
and our shareholders confidence that this increasingly important part of our

all our financial reporting obligations, in the transition from CDN GAAP to IFRS
and will be responsible for initiating and implementing new systems to support
the Company’s business operations. Her appointment is an important step in

mineral exploration company working in Nevada, USA and Manitoba, Canada. In
Nevada, the Company is exploring the 100% optioned Rosebud Mine property, a
generative gold property at Garcia Flats in the South Carlin Trend and an

Northern Nye County. In Manitoba, Harvest is exploring three groups of claims in
