Harvest Gold Updates Rice Lake Gold Belt Exploration;
Geophysics Correlates With a 800m Long Gold Anomaly

Harvest Gold Corporation (HVG – TSX.V) June 7, 2006 (the “Company”) is pleased
to announce that the field work phase of the Induced Polarization (IP) survey on
its Johnston property in Rice Lake, Manitoba is completed. Preliminary results
indicate an 800m long, geophysical anomaly. This new geophysical anomaly lies
below the set of surface geochemical samples received in 2005 which contain
anomalous gold and other pathfinder metals.
The Company’s first drill program on the property, in October 2005, occurred at
the west end of the anomaly. It resulted in the discovery of the Red Hill gold
zone and reported up to 7.5 g/t Au over 2 metres in one drill hole and multiple
lower grades intervals of 3 g/t of gold or less in adjacent holes. (See January

The Red Hill Zone remains open at depth and along strike. Follow-up geochemistry
indicates that mineralization continues a further 600 m to the east of the last
drill hole, suggesting a total strike length of 800 metres coincident with the
new geophysical anomaly. The upcoming drill program will test the entire strike
length of the anomaly. The gold-bearing alteration at the Red Hill Zone is
ankerite (iron-magnesium carbonate) which is found in association with many Red
Lake gold deposits. Other occurrences of the same type of alteration are located
within a large fold structure and in a regional shear zone crossing through the
property. This shear zone is part of a major crustal break that extends east
through the Red Lake Gold Camp in Ontario.
During this spring field program, line cutters completed 20 kilometres of new
grid lines, geophysical crews completed approximately 16 kilometres of IP
geophysics and 150 geochemical samples were collected. An additional 20 line
kilometres is being cut over selected new target areas on the Johnston property
in preparation for new surface geochemical, geophysical and geological mapping.
Matrix Geochemical Services of Toronto, Canada performed the Induced
Polarization (IP) survey over the new grid area. The survey was designed to test
for mineralization to a depth of up to 250 meters throughout the grid area and
to 400 meters where targets are identified. The gold discovered at Red Hill is
associated with very fine grained pyrite and arsenopyrite, which responds well
to this survey method.
