The Gonini River Concession
This concession consists of 14,000 hectares, located in the South Eastern region of Suriname, in the Sipaliwini district, east of the Gonini River. It is approximately 230 km from Paramaribo, the capital city of Suriname. It lies adjacent to the Benzdorp gold district. A major structural zone that is gold-bearing elsewhere passes close to this concession. The Benzdorp district remains one of the more active areas of small scale mining by locals and Brazilians in Suriname and has a long history of mining. Canarc, Golden Star and Reunion gold have all conducted exploration programs on adjacent concessions.
