Harvest Gold Appoints Greg Hill M.Sc. Vice President, Harvest Gold, USA

04/27/2006

Harvest Gold Corporation (HVG – TSX.V) April 27, 2006 (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Hill to the position of Vice President, Harvest Gold Corp, USA.

Mr. Hill will immediately begin the process of formalizing the Harvest Gold’s 2006 Nevada, USA Business Plan starting with the company’s spring exploration program on the recently acquired 198 claim Garcia Flats property. These claims are located on the southern extent of the Carlin Trend in Elko County, Nevada. Mr. Hill will also begin evaluating and prioritizing additional Gold and Gold/Silver property opportunities in Northern Nevada with a view to growing Harvest Gold’s generative property portfolio.

Mr. Hill’s exploration experience includes completing regional geochemical surveys for the USGS; geologic modeling for Barrick Goldstrike Mines at the Meikle mine; and three years as a project geologist for Santa Fe Pacific Gold Corp where he worked on various gold properties, including Twin Creeks, Trenton Canyon, Valmy mines, and Battle Mountain exploration projects.  Mr. Hill has also conducted generative exploration in Northern Nevada for Cambior and spent eight years consulting for exploration and development projects, in North and South America, Australia, Africa, and Europe. Much of his experience has been focused on orientation soil surveys at covered gold and base metals deposits in Nevada and elsewhere.

Harvest Gold president, John Roozendaal, states “Greg Hill is a perfect fit for Harvest Gold. He has known our Vice President of Exploration, Dr. George Gale for 10 years and both have a strong background in the use of modern geochemical methods in the exploration of buried mineral deposits. A strong background in geochemistry is of tremendous value when exploring Nevada’s pediment cover areas, where giant gold systems have been discovered in recent years.  Greg’s knowledge and experience, working in and around Nevada gold mines and deposits, will provide Harvest Gold and its shareholders with new and exciting opportunities to find new deposits.”

Mr. Hill received his M.Sc., Geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1994 and his B.A., Geology from Western State College of Colorado in 1991. He presently operates Churnhill Gold, LLC out of Reno, Nevada and has been compiling geological, geophysical and geochemical data for Nevada into a regional GIS database.

Mr. Hill is the Vice President Elect of the Geological Society of Nevada and served as that organization’s Publications Chair for their Symposium 2005.  He is also a member of the Society of Economic Geologists and former Chair of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration Geochemistry Committee.

Harvest Gold Corp is exploring for gold on its four projects in the mining friendly jurisdictions of Nevada, USA and Manitoba, Canada.
