Mr. Rick Mark, BA(Ed), M.Ed (Admin), President, CEO and Chair, Director

Rick has over 25 years experience in the public market place. He has held leadership positions in various organizations over the last 40 years. During his tenure in the public company space, he has taken responsibility for securing financings, developing short and long term corporate goals, building cost-effective property development plans, creating effective communication platforms and overseeing regulatory functions. Rick is also the President and CEO of Pancontinental Gold Corp (PUC:TSX.V). Rick has led efforts to raise over $85M in the last twelve years.

Mr. David Mosher, Independent Director

Mr. Mosher is a mining executive with over thirty-five years experience in Australia, Canada, the United States, Russia, Asia and Africa. Over the past decade he has been active in the restructuring, financing and management of a number of resource companies, both private and public. Currently he is an independent director for three public companies.
Most notably in Mr. Mosher’s career, from 1992 to 2008, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of High River Gold Mines Ltd., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company involved in the exploration, development and production of gold. In late 1992 he negotiated a JV with TVX Gold Inc. to put the New Britannia Gold Mine in Manitoba, Canada into production, acquired a major equity interest in two producing Russian gold mines and completed a Mining Investment Agreement with the government of Burkina Faso allowing exploration, development and production on the advanced Taparko property. He was responsible for equity financing of over $300 million to support the Company’s growth from 1993, which included the development of two open pit mines: the Taparko Gold mine in Burkina Faso, West Africa and the Berezitovoye Gold mine in Russia.

Mr. Joel Matheson, Independent Director

The Honourable Joel Matheson Q.C. E.C.N.S., has served as Chairman of Canasur since being appointed to the Board of Directors in February 2010 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (retired). Mr. Matheson was a prominent figure in Nova Scotia politics from 1978 to 1993. He was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for the riding of Halifax-Bedford Basin in 1978 and served as Caucus Chairman until 1979. Mr. Matheson was appointed to the Cabinet in 1979 and held many portfolios until 1993. Mr. Matheson was Minister of Finance, Minister of Health, Minister of Mines and Energy, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister of Justice and Attorney General. Prior to being elected to government, he owned and operated a private business, dealing in the manufacturing, construction and distribution industries.

Mr. Ed Zablotny, Independent Director

Mr. Zablotny has worked in the securities business in Vancouver for over 35 years with both national and local firms. His experience includes, trading, credit and compliance work as a fully licensed professional. He provides Harvest Gold an important perspective on operating and growing a Public Company.

Mr. Christopher Cherry, CA, CGA, CFO and Director

Mr. Christopher Cherry has over 15 years of corporate accounting and audit experience. Mr. Cherry has extensive corporate experience and has held senior level positions for several public mining companies including Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary. Mr. Cherry has been a Chartered Accountant since February 2009 and a Certified General Accountant since 2004. He held positions with KPMG and Davidson and Co. LLP in Vancouver, where he gained experience as an auditor for junior public companies and as an IPO specialist.

Mr. Tedy Antoun Jbara, Agent in Suriname

Mr. Jbara studied Data Proccessing, Theology and Philosophy in the University Saint Esprit Kaslik "USEK" in Lebanon. He has been an active businessman in Suriname for the past 12 years. Mr. Jbara is the owner of an import export company specializing in the wholesale and retail sales of automobile parts and accessories. Mr. Jbara also has business interests outside of Suriname.

Dr. Dennis J. LaPoint, Consultant

Dr. LaPoint is a registered professional geologist with over 35 years of experience. He has extensive management experience in the mineral industry throughout the US and the Guyana Shield. For the past 17 years, he has focused on exploration in the Guyana Shield. Dr. LaPoint initiated the grassroots gold exploration program in Suriname, South America for Alcoa Corp. and discovered the Merian Mine, now being developed by Newmont with production to start in the 4th quarter of 2016. He was also the Exploration Manager for Suriname for Cambior (IAMGOLD). Dr. LaPoint consults for various public and private companies and is a Qualified Person for the preparation of NI 43-101 reports. Dr. LaPoint has a doctorate of Philosophy - University Of Colorado (1991-1977), Boulder, Co. Master of Science - University of Montana (1968 -1970), Missoula, MT. Bachelor of Arts - University of Iowa (1964 -1968), Iowa City, IA.

Warren Bates, Director of Property Investigation

Mr. Bates has over 30 years of experience in mining and exploration, mainly in gold, porphyry copper, VMS and nickel.  He has over 10 years of experience in the Vice President, Exploration role and, importantly, is also experienced in exploration and project acquisition and reserve resource reviews. He is presently consulting to Pelangio Exploration Inc (TSXV: PX) as their Vice President of Exploration, which the Company has agreed with Pelangio, is his primary responsibility.
